Meet the Team: Naveed Bashir

Naveed Bashir is the Senior Vice President of Personal Insurance, a role he has held since 2024. He brings extensive experience in strategic growth, sales, and operations across the insurance industry. Prior to this, he served as Assistant Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Sales & Operations at Aviva Canada, where he led initiatives to expand the Personal Insurance and Direct-to-Consumer channels.

Earlier in his career, Naveed held leadership roles at CAA, Belair Direct, and TD Insurance, focusing on distribution, client services, and national strategic planning. He also contributed to industry education as a Facilitator at the Insurance Institute of Canada.

Naveed holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the Management and Strategy Institute and is a designated Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) through the Insurance Institute of Canada. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto and is an active community volunteer, contributing his time to organizations such as the Canadian Association of Direct Relationship Insurers, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Climate Reality Project.
