Christopher M. Treanor

Chris Treanor is the President of Programs & Specialties and HUB Digital. He also serves as the President & CEO of Specialty Program Group, HUB’s diversified underwriting management, wholesale and specialty retail brokerage platform.  Treanor also oversees HUB’s Commercial Lines strategy and HUB’s relationship with the insurance marketplace.  Prior to joining HUB in July of 2015, Treanor was President of Preferred Concepts, LLC., a nationwide program manager. He joined Preferred in 2010 when the company acquired Mercator Risk Services, Inc., a national wholesale brokerage firm which he co-founded in 2006.

Treanor began his career at Marsh, where he held leadership roles in brokerage, sales and office management. Ultimately, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the firm’s global placement operations. Treanor was a member of the Marsh, Inc. Board of Directors and the company’s Management Committee.

Treanor received an AB in Economics and History magna cum laude from Duke University and received his MBA from Columbia University. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Centenary University.  He is a long-time member of the Board of Trustees of Freedom House Inc, and organization that provides addiction services to men and women struggling from substance use and co-occurring disorders with operations throughout New Jersey.
